Haven't posted in a while, just got busy and tired and well, didn't get it done. Lots has been going on though.
Morgan turned 5 years old! MY BABY is already 5 years old. Where the heck has the time gone? Seriously. I'm glad that she's happy, healthy and excited about life but I miss my baby. It's kind of bitter sweet seeing my kiddos grow up. Morgan was really excited about her birthday party because her cousins (Brittany, Bethany & Brett) were coming along with her Grandma & Grandpa were also going to be here.
The kids had an absolute blast together. We didn't get the playset in time as it was raining but that's okay. Eric & Scott took the kids to swim at Patterson Park in M'boro. They seemed to have a great time.
The Cardinals also won so that was great.
Morgan had a Polly Pocket party and it was fun. Gerald & Joyce came along with Jeff, Rachel and Madelyn. It was a regular Knipmeyer family reuinion. While it's stressful to have that many people in your house, it was fun and the kids enjoyed it.
Since then, not much has gone on I guess. The playset got put in and the kids enjoy playing on that one. We had the Fall Festival at church. Owen got 2 more teeth and just this weekend he took 2 steps. My baby is turning into a TODDLER!
And that leads me to one area that I've really struggled with - NO MORE BABIES. Honestly, it makes me really sad and I'd really like to have another baby. WHAT? Am I crazy? Seriously - am I crazy? I guess partially. I enjoy being pregnant (after the first 10-15 weeks) and I like childbirth (yes, even though it hurts LIKE CRAZY) and I LOVE the newborn stage and the idea of never going through that again makes me really, really sad. Oh well. What's done is done and what is - is. I just need to try and enjoy every moment that I have as they grow up.
Well, it's late and I'm tired.

Paint/Furniture/Groceries... ah life....
Another "exciting" day in the Mueller household. Started off with Drew coming into sleep with us about 3ish in the morning. I can never ever sleep with kids in our bed so things kind of sucked after that. Got up at 7:30 and went to some garage sales. I had hoped to find some great furniture pieces for my hobby room but came up way short. The sales really stunk. Oh well, I found a few unnecessary things and then came home.
Despite the fact that I know this is God's best for us and this is the house that He wanted us to have, I can't seem to help looking at different areas around Smyrna and wishing we lived in a different place. I was in St. John's Wood today and saw a gorgeous house. It was something out of a magazine and recently sold for right around $200,000. I was kicking myself because I really liked it. Then, I felt bad because it is like telling God that His best isn't good enough for me. That's definitely not the case.
Came home and our kitchen table FINALLY got delivered. I swear, Ashley Furniture was making me crazy. After a short while Eric & I took the kids to Murfreesboro to go furniture shopping. Can I just say that I HATE SHOPPING FOR FURNITURE. It stinks. I just want to get something and get our house done. I'm not interested in looking at every place. There will always be another sofa to see and another store - let's just make a decision. Wish I could say that we found the "perfect" sofa. I think we did find the set that we are going to go with. Do I like it? Sure. Do I love it? Not really but that honestly doesn't matter to me. I know that Eric really likes it and I can be perfectly happy with it. Kind of makes me sad because it means I have to change everything in that room as none of our accessories will now match. OH WAIT - that also means that my wedding flowers won't match. Ughhh. I hate making decisions. Part of me wants to say screw it & order the stuff from JcPenney's online store? I've seen it and I know I like it. I'd hate to get it and have Eric not like it. I just want that room done. I will always feel like we are still unpacking and not settled with that room as it currently is.
After many stops we finally came home and I went out grocery shopping. Exciting, I know. Sad when you have to go grocery shopping to get some time to yourself. Honestly, I was just feeling down this evening. I was craving something familiar like driving on Hwy 75 to Walmart and stopping by Taco Bell or just driving down our road. This place just doesn't feel like home yet.
We did get something accomplished at home though. We got our bathroom painted, at least the first coat. I LOVE IT!!! I can't wait for it to be done and put together. Then it's on to painting the family room/kitchen. Do I want to paint it myself? HECK NO but I don't really have another option. I can't explain it but I just NEED that room to be done. I need that room to be warm & cozy and done and I want it that way before Eric's family comes to see us.
Well, it's midnight and we have church in the morning.

Pumpkin Patch
Long day. Started out this morning with Owen's 1 year appt. He did pretty good. He weighs 24 lbs 8 oz and is 31 inches long. He had 2 shots and goes back at 15 months. Despite the fact that I like our new dr., I really miss Dr. Paul. Maybe it's because he knows my kids, after all, he was their dr. from birth. At any rate, another part of the change to a new place. Drew was pretty trying at the appt. The dr. even made a comment about Drew being more high maintenance. I had to ask the dr. to hold Owen while I took Drew to the bathroom for a little chat. After a firm talk he was back on the right path (for a little while anyways).
After that I went home, cleaned the car out, made a sack lunch for me & the kiddos and then went to the Pumpkin Patch with the MOPS group. It was a FUN time. The kids had a blast. They did a hay maze, played in a corn/wheat bin, went on a hayride, petted some animals (calves, sheep, goats, etc) and picked out a pumpkin. Lots of fun.
Came home and dealt some more with a 2.5 year old that doesn't know how to be nice to his brother & sister. I swear, Drew is making me crazy. We are really working with him though to help him understand that it's not okay to bite & hit and it is absolutely necessary that he obeys me & his daddy. We'll get there, one day I hope.
The other frustrating thing with Drew is that he is not potty trained yet. He'll be 3 in 2 months and he doesn't really care about going on the potty. He knows when he has to pee & poop and he won't choose to go on the potty. He'll do the "poopy dance" and I'll try to get him to sit on the toilet and he throws a big stinkin' fit. It's so frustrating. Morgan was potty trained around 2 years old so this is pretty late, I think.
The good things about Drew is that he is really becoming a lot more verbal and I love that. He has a tender heart and lots of energy.
Morgan is doing okay. I really think that she is missing having kids her own age to hang out with. She goes from being in school every day for 1/2 days and having lots of friends to basically nothing but me, Drew & Owen. Yes, we've made some friends but we can't hang out with them every day. I'm not sure what to do. We're involved in a church and go Sundays & Wendesdays but she needs more.
I need more. I need a little bit of "mommy time" yet can't seem to really find it. I think it's mainly because I don't know many people here. I want to get my craft area finished so I can use it, I need a creative outlet. That is a frustrating task though as we just can't seem to find the right stuff for the space. I need to get that done, for my sanity more than anything.
I've also looked for a Mother's Day Out program but things are really done differently here. In Bville there are a TON of MDO programs where you can do one day or two days. They aren't really preschools per say but they are slightly cheaper than a preschool setting. Here, most places are two days (and you have to send both days) and Owen isn't old enough to go even at a year old. It is kind of making me crazy. Oh well. I've been learning to spend time with my kids like I haven't in the past. That's good - right? That said, I do need to get some of my time before I go out of my mind!
Well, I guess I'll sign off now. Until next time.

New to this...
I've never really done a blog before and right now it's not something I want to make public - not because of what I want to talk about, just because I feel more comfortable with it being private right now.
It's almost been one month since we've been in Tennessee. Things are good overall. It's a definite adjustment. It's not easy to leave your entire support system and move someplace that you know basically no one. We're making it okay I guess. We've found a great church and I've met a few people.
Going to sign off for tonight but we'll see where this blog stuff goes.
